Like Isagi, they too have had their share of battles along the way and have finally made it into the third selection. It will be interesting to see how Isagi battles it out on the field with the remaining players. Unfortunately, Kunigami, who became close to Isagi in the first selection did not make it. Each player must pass rounds, known as Selection to qualify, and those who fail are forced to leave Blue Lock and say goodbye to their dreams of ever representing the national team on the pitch. Blue Lock Season 1 covered 90 chapters/11 volumes of the manga, so we can expect Season 2 to cover the remaining 13 volumes. No synopsis is available yet for Blue Lock Season 2 and 8bit has pretty much kept the plot under wraps. The first season of Blue Lock aired from October 9, 2022, to March 26, 2023, with a total of 24 episodes. No release date has been confirmed as of yet, but Blue Lock Season 2 is likely to be released in the middle of May 2024. With Blue Lock Season 2 being recently announced, we can expect the anime to come anytime next year.
